Giovanni Poletti

 

About me

 

Giovanni Poletti, architect and PhD, was born in Cesena (FC) in 1964.

He studied at the IUAV - Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, graduating with Prof. Arrigo Rudi.

In 2009 he obtained the title of PhD in Architectural Composition at the Scuola di Dottorato in Ingegneria Civile e Architettura of the ALMA MATER STUDIORUM – Università di Bologna. His doctoral thesis was published by Bruno Mondadori in 2011.

 

In 2000 he opened his own professional studio after years in which he studied the themes of architectural design applied to the theme of "making" architecture. He carries out his professional activity dealing with architectural design and restoration, preferring the themes of residence, interior design and museography.​

 

Since 2002 he has been a subject expert for the scientific-disciplinary sector ICAR/16 "Architettura degli Interni" at the IUAV collaborating with prof. Arrigo Rudi.

 

From the same year he began to collaborate in teaching with the Facoltà di Architettura of the ALMA MATER STUDIORUM - Università di Bologna - Cesena campus. From the Academic Year 2003 to 2017 he was Head of the Exhibitions Office of the Faculty of Architecture "Aldo Rossi", now the Department of Architecture.​ From 2009 to 2011 he was an adjunct professor of Interior Architecture. In 2003-2004 and since 2011 he has been Adjunct Professor of Allestimento e Museografia and since 2022-2023 of Disegno della città e del paesaggio at the Corso di Laurea Magistrale a Ciclo unico in Architettura of the ALMA MATER STUDIORUM - Università di Bologna - Cesena Campus.
